  • Culturally responsive and inclusive practices to enable children to engage in a play-based curriculum that supports children’s development and needs.
  • Celebrating children’s development and acknowledging their successes
  • Intentional pedagogy where staff are providing diverse opportunities for development
  • Partnership with whanau/community to engage in the daily curriculum in support of their children’s learning.

Evaluation for Improvement

Engaging in internal evaluation to develop all aspect of the centre.

  • United organisational conditions which enable management, leaders, and Kaiako to engage in an effective evaluation process to improve centre practices and vision
  • Collectively contribute to evaluation, inquiry and knowledge building which sustains improvement and innovation
  • Effective planning, coordination and evaluation of curriculum, teaching and learning promotes equal opportunities for all

Sustainable Governance

Sustainability strategy across the business, manage goal setting and reporting processes, strengthen relations with external stakeholders, and ensure overall accountability.

  • Effective and efficient operations continue to support the daily practices and needs of the centre, children, whanau and staff
  • Fiscally responsible management of operations and funds that enable centre to operate at its respected and highest quality capacity
  • Outcomes for children and whanau are promoted by effective systems, processes and internal evaluation
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the needs of all are met and are continued to be maintained
